WHAT YOU WILL SEE DURING YOUR VISIT
At the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, you will have the opportunity to admire the important collection at the Ambrosiana Library Milan, that includes also the Leonardo Atlantic Codex, that is the largest collection in the world of drawings and writings by Leonardo da Vinci. The Leonardo Atlantic Codex consists of 1119 sheets of a period ranging from 1478 to 1519 of different subjects such as sketches and preparatory drawings for paintings, research in mathematics, optics and astronomy, gourmet recipes philosophical meditations but also up to curious projects of war machines, hydraulic pumps and parachutes.
Inside the Ambrosiana Library you will find more than a million ancient books and moreover, in the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, you will admire some art masterpieces, such as The Basket of Fruit by Caravaggio and The cartoon for the School of Athens by Raphael.
